VISit
During the first meeting, I focus on an in-depth interview and ailments analysis of the patient and the interpretation of diagnostic tests and the information obtained in conjunction with a thorough manual and functional examination are the basis for establishing a therapeutic plan.
- For a thorough manual and functional examination you may be asked to undress to your underwear (even if there is a problem, which you report concerns e.g. a foot). Please take underwear that will provide comfort during the visit.
- If you have medical records describing your treatment so far, and imaging tests (X-ray, ultrasound, magnetic resonance imaging, computed tomography) then please take them with you for the first visit.
- Duration of the visit 40 minutes / cost PLN 200 (cash only).
In order to make an appointment, please contact us by phone – 600 077 355 or via application form.
If I do not answer the phone, it means that I am focused on working with the patient and I will call you back in my free time.
Osteopathy is a recognised diagnostic, treatment and prevention system for injuries and various diseases with the help of manual examination which puts the main emphasis on the structural and functional integrity of the human body. Method of conducting therapy osteopathic disease results from physiology, anatomy, biomechanics and common clinical knowledge. It treats the human body as a whole, both in terms of structure and functionality
PATIENT INTERVIEW
The visit begins with an anamnesis, analysis of medical history and patient’s ailments. The medical interview is designed to obtain information about the source of ailments with which the patient reports. It includes questions about comorbidities, medications taken, treatments, nature of work, physical activity, lifestyle, current ailments and their course as well as previous injuries and treatment. It usually lasts a few minutes and is an important element in the diagnosis.
IMAGE EXAMINATION
Analysis of medical records and imaging tests of the patient (X-ray, ultrasound, tomography computer, magnetic resonance imaging). In case of a patient having previous medical records and imaging tests, their evaluation advancement of tissue changes and the possibility of influencing current ailments of the patient. Interpretation of imaging tests with an interview and physical examination aims to capture possible so-called red flags, i.e. the situation in which there is a suspicion of more serious pathologies and contraindications to manual treatment where the patient should be referred for further tests and an appointment with an appropriate specialist.
PHYSICAL EXAMINATION
It is the most important element in the patient’s functional diagnostics, it consists of: palpation, functional tests, range of motion, tests, reflexes, sensory disturbances and assessment of muscle strength. On the basis of which is carried out together with prior interview clinical inference and makes a functional diagnosis and plans the process of therapeutic management.
MANUAL THERAPY
Manual therapy is a type of examination and treatment of the tissues of the musculoskeletal system. It is about work manually on the tissues of the myofascial-skeletal and nervous systems. In order to release restrictions on mobility and functional disorders of tissues, reduce tension and pressure on nerves and blood vessels. Using the techniques of: manipulative, mobilization, neuro mobilisation, oscillation, traction, lymphatic and soft tissue techniques (myofascial release, energization techniques muscle, trigger points).
Craniosacral therapy
Its founder is William Sutherland, MD who developed a coherent model of the system of mutual tensions and their principles transfer in the system skull – dura mater – sacrum. The essence of therapy is correcting the resulting disturbances in this model and facilitating free movement of body fluids that the correct course of this movement is extremely important to human life and health. The therapist works gently on the bones of the skull and the sacral spine to remove the resulting disorders. The proper functioning of the craniosacral system has a positive effect on the nervous and visceral systems, as well as on the musculoskeletal system of the entire body.
Visceral therapy
Visceral therapy, otherwise known as visceral therapy, is a targeted manual action aimed at restoring the proper movement and function of internal organs. Whatever limitations of this movement may affect the functioning of the organ and the whole organism because the visceral system creates a system of interrelationships with each other and the structures of the entire human body. Internal organ dysfunctions can be manifested by increased tension (e.g. abdominal pain), organ dysfunction (digestive problems) or via the sympathetic nervous system pain in a completely different part of the body (e.g. back pain).
Fascial Manipulation
A method based on a biomechanical model of the human body created and developed by the Stecco family (Luigi Stecco, prof. Carla Stecco, prof. Antonio Stecco). Considering the manipulation of blocked (denatured) places on the fascia, through compression and displacement of disturbed tissues, which in turn leads to improvement gliding, reducing pain and increasing the range of motion. Slip disorders between layers of the fascia and its densification arise as a result of repeated overloads, mechanical injuries and inflammation.
Dry needling
Dry needling is a method of puncturing a point trigger in a muscle or puncture a tense muscle band with sterile, disposable acupuncture needles for the treatment of myofascial pain and musculoskeletal dysfunction. Direct mechanical methods influence tissues in order to obtain biochemical, biomechanical and vascular. It allows you toreach deep muscle structures and fascia often impossible to achieve with manual techniques. Dry needling is there a very effective and safe method of treating myofascial pain.
